  • There will be elite players at this event, so it might be difficult to stand out unless you’re a top prospect

2.) PREP BASEBALL REPORT – TOP PROSPECT GAMES IN MASON, OHIO

The Top Prospect Games in Mason, Ohio is an event that features a showcase and games from for the top prospects.

The Top Prospect Games event is INVITATION ONLY for the top prospects in Ohio, this is not a showcase you can register for.

June 6 and 7, 2017

Location:       
Prasco Park – 6125 Commerce Court Mason, OH 45040

Cost:
$250 for pitchers only, $300 for position players, and $450 for two-way players

Colleges & Pro Scouts Who Have Attended in the Past:
According to PBR Official Website, “in 2016, (they) had over 140 scouts from the ACC, SEC, BIG10, BIG12, MAC, and more in attendance.”

Pros:

  • This event will have a lot of colleges and universities trying to recruit top high school student-athletes.
  • With the amount exposure you can get at this event, there is no reason why a good student athlete should walk away without a scholarship.

Cons:

  • This event is invitation only, so unless you receive an invitation you CANNOT participate in this event

What to Expect:
At this event, attendees are expected to participate in games and a pro-style workout. You should expect that this event will have top prospects meaning tough competition for whom ever decide to participate at this event.

3.) PREP BASEBALL REPORT – FRESHMAN FREE SHOWCASE IN DAYTON, OHIO

The PBR Freshman Free Showcase in Ohio is the first free showcase I have ever seen. This will be a perfect event for a high school freshman to attend so they can be exposed to a showcase environment.

Colleges Attending Event:
Possibly community colleges, since the event is being held at Sinclair Community College

Pros:

  • This is a free showcase for high school freshmen

Cons:

  • When a showcase is free, there is no cons at attending the event

What to Expect:
Position players should expect a pro-style workout and pitchers should expect to throw bullpens
